Frequently asked questions
What fade lengths work best?
For music, 2–4 seconds in and 3–6 seconds out feel natural; podcast intros usually want a quicker 0.5–1 second fade. The preview plays the real curve, so trust your ears over any rule.
Can I fade only the end of the track?
Yes — set the fade-in to zero and keep the fade-out, or the reverse. Each fade is independent.
Does fading reduce audio quality?
No. A fade is a smooth volume ramp rendered into the export at full quality — and if you export WAV or FLAC, the result is lossless end to end.
Is anything uploaded?
No. The fades, the preview, and the export all run in your browser via WebAssembly. Your audio never leaves your device.
